Allemansrtten (the right to roam) is a unique Swedish law: you can hike, camp and pick berries anywhere in nature — including private land — as long as you cause no damage and show respect. Fika is more than a coffee break — it’s a Swedish institution. Twice a day (usually around 10:00 and 15:00) people take time for coffee and pastries, often with colleagues or friends. If a Swede invites you for fika, accept — it’s a genuine invitation to connect. Cinnamon buns (kanelbullar) are the classic fika pastry.
