The Salar de Uyuni is the world's largest salt flat — 3,656 km² of flat salt at 3,656m altitude that turns into a vast mirror when it rains. In the rainy season (December–March) the mirror effect is most beautiful. Tours start from Uyuni. It is one of the world's most iconic landscapes.

La Paz is the world's highest governmental capital at 3,650m. Your first days can be affected by altitude sickness.
