Does eSIM work on a refurbished iPhone?

Yes, as long as the model supports eSIM (iPhone XS and later) and isn't a mainland China unit. Check two things: that the phone is carrier-unlocked, and that it has an EID (Settings → General → About). A refurbished, unlocked iPhone uses the Airlivo eSIM just like a new one.
