I scanned the QR code with my camera and got 'ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME' or 'Webpage not available' — what's wrong?
That's normal — an eSIM QR code is not a website, so opening it in your camera or browser shows that error. Don't scan it from the camera app. Add it from inside your phone's eSIM screen instead.
- 1Ignore the browser error — the QR is not a web link.
- 2Open Settings → Cellular (iPhone) or SIM manager (Android).
- 3Tap 'Add eSIM'.
- 4Scan the QR code from inside that screen, not the camera app.
- 5On the same phone, choose 'Enter manually' and paste the 'LPA:1$…' code.
