Why did RCS stop working after I installed a travel eSIM?
RCS (Android/Google Messages chat) is tied to your primary number and needs a data connection. When you install an eSIM and switch the data line, the RCS registration can get unset and temporarily fall back to SMS. To fix it: in Messages → Settings → Chat features (RCS), confirm it's linked to your primary number with data on, then restart the phone.
